CNC Machining Website Rebuild

A CNC machine shop with outdated WordPress site was losing enquiries to faster, more capable competitors. Their site loaded slowly, buried their real capabilities, and gave engineers no reason to reach out.

The Challenge

The client had invested heavily in CNC equipment and capacity but their online presence reflected none of it. Their old WordPress site was slow (58/100 mobile PageSpeed), hard to update, and structured around generic "services" pages that ranked for nothing specific. Their key capabilities — 5-axis machining, materials expertise, sector experience — were hidden inside a single PDF download rather than presented as searchable content.

Our Approach

We rebuilt the site as a static-first Astro site structured around the client's actual capabilities: dedicated pages for CNC milling, turning, and 5-axis machining; a materials page for each material they regularly machine; sector pages for aerospace, medical, and automotive; and a clear quote request flow. Schema markup was added for every capability and service page. The site was deployed on Cloudflare Pages for global edge delivery.

The Results

The rebuild transformed their online presence. Page speed went from 58 to 98/100. Organic visibility grew 184% in six months as their capability pages began ranking for specific technical searches their old site never captured. Most importantly, qualified enquiry volume increased 62% — and the enquiries arriving were better matched to their capabilities because buyers could self-qualify against detailed process and material content.
